my f*cked up day

So my life sux today, I drove to Vegas for my daughters wedding. Stopped for some dinner right before the wedding. Some asshole broke into my truck and stole all my tools which I spent my whole 22year carreer aquiring. Luckily the security guy saw it and it was on a camera too. But I had to wait for police so I missed the wedding. I was able to catch the reception tho.
So today I have to spend a couple thousand on tools so I can continue to work.:paddle:
 
Damn brother, that sux big time. Especially when it happens on a important day. Get the hottest hooker in vegas before you leave, least you could do to relieve some stress :winkfinger:
 

Sorry Heck ...What a fucking drag..... I don't like 'people' touching my stuff, let alone stealing my hard earned equipment..... :paddle:

saddly that was what I was cursing to my wife about, then the cops described the man over the radio after they viewed the video and I told the cop, damn I feel like a racist now. He laugh and said why you think it was a black guy, I said no mexican. He was white 6ft skinney and bald. drove a maroon Nissan Altima with a for sale sign in the window. asking $8300 or $8900. I spent yesturday hitting pawn shops and looking on craiglist for the car. No luck yet.

You travel all the way to Vegas to give your daughter away and who'd have thunk you'd end up giving your tools away too.

Hope they catch the thief.
 
I just bought a tonnuea cover and the locks are super easy to pick, I cut a small piece of credit card and tested it last nite was able to open the locks in less than 10 seconds and that was my first time trying it. guy got it opened and was gone in minutes. I'm more pissed that I spent $700 on that cover thinikng my tools would be safe.

Do you own a business? tools should be insured man. Most comercial auto policy's come with misc tools endosrement should read something like "covers up to 1000 dollars an item to a total of 10,000 dollars.. any thing over should be scheduled on to your policy. I insure a lot of concrete cutters and some of there diamond blades and core drill bits are worth up to 5 grand.
 
ugghh, I hate thieves, contact your insurance provider, it may be covered under your homeowners policy if they were inside the truck...

I always have my tools with me, they are locked in the bed of my truck and I keep my truck in my garage. They are in a portable box that I can check in as baggage in case I have to fly somewhere. I wasnt gonna take my truck tho, it was a last minute thing. I bought them a jeep as gift and decided to have my wife drive the jeep and I would meet her there. I had a late job at brown field airport near mexico, got 2 hours of sleep drank a heap of coffee and drove up to vegas.

I wanted to but I lost over 15k and some of the tools belong to my employer and he requested a police report.
