Because my wife has a problem leaving me alone when i lift, I decided to build my own little house for a weigght room. This way I can lock her ass out and lift without interuptions. It will be one room with the inside deminsions of 36' x 24'.
Pic 1 ground breaking
Poc 2 walls going up.

y dont u just use your basement tough? that looks like a lot of fucking work for a gym.

That is some impressive work!!! Building a temple to build a temple!!! Wish I could help.

I don't have a basement. I built my own 2200 sq ft house. Just me and the wife. 1/3 of my house is a custom kitchen. 24 x 24 with two center islands
nice dude. But why do you need such a strong structure for a gym? couldnt u make it out of wood? it be 50 times cheaper.

They have basements in California??? ;)

Screw that. If I had the land and the $$$ I'd do the exact same thing. The music would be LOUD and I'd be in there any damn time I wanted. :thumb:

Wrong there. First I live in Baja Calif which is part of Mexico. Mexico doesn't have wood down here. So they pay a 33% import charge to have lumber shipped here. A 2 x 4 x 8 stud cost $4.85 down here. Blocks are .65 each making it cheaper do build in blocks verses wood.

Cinder blocks are better anyway, less noise.........looking good Tough.

Hej what's going on here, I thought you were opening a real gym in Mexico?!!!!

I like the cinder block approach. Like building a fortress. Concrete and Iron seem s appropriate for a gym

It's not finished you dumbfuck. It still needs the remaining blocks put up, 6 - 4 x 4 windows, 2 sliding glass doors, a roof, stucco and then paint. Whats you weight room look like. A garage with half it filled with Green Tea!

Exactly, if the federales try to take him into custody it would be much harder.

Hey Tough, why did you move to Mexico anyway?
How do they treat you over there anyway?

Great job PT.
Are you putting the truses in by hand?

Yes I'll do that myself. I have 4 mexican workers working for me laying the blocks. This whole room will cost me a total of about $6k. Not bad for a 36 x 24 room. Hell I have more then that in gym equipment. My dumbells cost $2100 and only go to 100 lbs in increments of 5.
