Cant wait to see VC posterize Duncan AGAIN this yr...

 VC isnt even an all-star anymore. Its like comparing Michael Jordan to Mark Eaton...Who gives a shit if he can jump high and dunk. So could Harold Miner.. and we all know how good HE was. :bulb:

Vince Carter? Do you even watch basketball? Vince Carter is a frail joke. See my name for the world's best player.

Vince Carter was never a star, he just excelled on a weak team. VC if anything would be a good second guy behind a Big player, But he is and never will be a dominant force. Just doesn't have the heart.

Oh and Troubador. Yeah Vince made it passed the first round. They were a 3 Three pointer away from making to the Conference Finals. Ironically VC was the Player that missed the shot :)

I'll have to go with Shaq on this one. Too huge/athletic for any defense to truly contain.

Vince is a chump with no heart - I live in Toronto and he has never done anything positive for that team. He's punked out the last two seasons - a good example is how two (or three?) seasons ago we won 17 of 18 without him in the lineup because he was injured all damn year and made the playoffs. I wish they would get rid of his ass and get some players that actually want to play. Chris Bosh could be a big star soon but he won't stick around once he starts getting money thrown at him from other teams. And he needs to gain about 40 pounds because he gets tossed around right now.

As for the original question - how about Dirk Nowitzski - he can shoot 3 points and inside, assist and rebound with the best of them. You have to double team him no matter where he is on the floor.

Nowitzki is good.. but has absolutely no defense at all.

first off I will not sit here and let you fools slander Carter like he is trash. this is ridiculous. The dude has been injured for two years, what the hell is he supposed to do about that. We will see at teh end of the season what you have to say about that. Now Of course he is not the number one pick in this poll, thats obvious, but Carter is the most talented player in the league behind Kobe and T-mac, and certainly better than anyone on the spurs beside duncan. now I know that you Camaro and DD love san an and thats great, they have an awesome ball club, but lets be realistic and not condemn everyone that doesn't play there. He is not a chump or whatever else you say. I would take him aanyday of the week on my team ahead of Lebron or any other young player. Y'all are just talkin shit of you don't think Carter isn't one of the best. get it right

Carter is OK. He's had a few seasons that showed promise, and yes he is loaded with talent. I personally like VC, especially after he went back to school to attend his BA ceremony at NC when he was in the playoffs.

But I'm being more than realistic when I say he is not a top player in the league anymore. Im not condeming every player that doesnt play there. I'm condeming VC for being an athletic specimen, but not being a great NBA player. He's not a great shooter, doesnt create that well for teammates and plays medicore defense at BEST. Yes he can score, but so could a lot of players we cant remember anymore. He is a very talented one-dimensional player. I hope he comes back strong from injury. And I hope he eventually proves me wrong.

But in all honesty, I would Lebron over Carter any day.

No, I disagree. I've watched Carter whine his way because he doesn't drink his fucken milk and has toothpick ankles. Remember when he blamed Bowen for intentionally spraining his ankle? What a whiney little joke.

I'd take Ray Allen over Carter. I'd take Lebron over Carter. I'd take Francis over Carter. I hate his attitude and he's been overrated from day one, imo.

Agreed Carter is OK. He is not a number one player on any team in the NBA, just doesn't have the Characteristics to lead a team. Skills Yes, Defense is kinda weak as well

I agree with you completely.

These poll were actually done by the NBA's 30 general managers, who were recently polled by the league on 50 topics. Here are some of the results.

Shaquille O'Neal- 81%
Kevin Garnett - 10%
Tracy McGrady - 5%
Tim Duncan - 5%

no mr donut, i have actually never even heard of it. What is this game you speak of?

relax. I was just being a little bit of a homer. ..you know? kinda like you and your bro.

Sure Vince is a pussy, soft...whatever...all true. However, he is still a premier player in the league. Top 10-20. RAy Ray over Vince?

Too many haters though...try watching some Raptor games instead of just listening to the media.

o and i would take Lebron over Vince, no questions

I've watched Raptor games. I'll admit that Vince is talented, in a freakish Dominique Wilkins kind of way. But I don't like him as a leader or a player.

Give me a while and he'll be a premier player in a wheel-chair league.

You arent going to win anything serious with VC being your franchise player and I know this beter than anyone. I am praying he gets off to a really good start, so he increases his trade value to the point where a fair deal can then be made. That said, he is still a top 10-20 player right now and this is despite his injury concerns. Not many people in this league put up well over 20 5 5.
If he had the intensity and desire of say KG, he would be the most unstoppable player in the league....
