Hey guys, just a quick question for u. Is it better to do bicep and tricep on the same day, or bicep with back and tricep with chest? My goal is maximum mass on the arms?? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

I workout 5 times a week.
Sunday: legs
Monday: shoulders and traps
Tuesday: off
Wednesday: arms.
Thursday: back
Friday: chest
saturday: off

Oh and I do half hour cardio after each workout. I'm 6 feet tall and 210 lb with a 15% bf

It really depends on the individual. Everyone is different and the same routine does not work for everyone.

I personally do bi's with back and tri's with shoulders.
Whever you do back, you are automatically fatiguing your biceps. So you hit them hard on one day and have that much more time for recovery / growth.
Same concept with shoulders or chest for tri's...

I have tried both. The problem , for me, is that when I do bicep with back and tricep with chest or shoulders, I feel that I don't give 100% training for bicep and tricep because by the time I do bicep or tricep, they are already fatigue. On the other hand, when I do arms together I feel I gave them 100% but I feel maybe I'm overtraining my arms because they get hit on chest, shoulder and back days as well??!! A little dilema I guess.

If you want maximum mass on the arms take out the arms day, add an extra thousand calories to your diet, and work hard on squats and deadlifts.

If your Deadlift goes up by 100lbs and you're eating the extra calories theres absolutely no way your arms won't be bigger at the end of it.

The best way to add an inch to your arms is to gain 20lbs in bodyweight. Do a few sets of curls with your back training, and a few sets of pushdowns with your pressing if you like but it really doesn't matter too much.

Thanks for the advice Gazhole and all of u guys

Yea I gotta agree with Gaz...

...but um, I have to ask,
What would make you think that doing biceps a day before back would be a good plan?

I didn't think of doing bicep a day before doing back because I know my bicep will still be sore on the back day, which will make my back workout less effective.

I don't think it really matters except for the soreness issue. Because of that, I prefer back/bicep, chest tricep combo.

That's right, i setteled for back/bicep and chest/tricep for
the same reason MMAWannabe stated
