My name is Brent and I'm 26. I am a senior mechanical engineering student and own an off-road fabrication shop. Between work and school, me schedule is packed.
I hit the gym MWF mornings with no pre-work out meal. Should I eat something or take protein? I have been working out for about a year off and on. Up until a month ago, I hadn't changed my diet. After talking to a buddy (who referred me to IM), I decided that I have gone as far as I can in my fitness without changing my diet.
I am 6'3" and 204 lbs. Aside from the gym, I have started mountain biking on non-gym mornings to get some cardio in. I frequently ride dirt bikes as well, so my level of physical activity is fairly high (especially for an engineer!). My goal is to lean out to about 180 lbs. My current diet, which is the same everyday regardless of what I do, is as follows:
Roughly 2000 Calories
180-200g protein
100g fat
>100g carbs
I often have trouble keeping the carbs low, but I am getting better. I'm not sure of my BF%, but it's too high for me haha.
Any thoughts on what I am doing? Anything I should change?
