Hi everyone. I just discovered this forum today and I'm happy to see that there is a lot of info to absorb. I will be spending some time reading posts, but I just wanted to introduce myself.
I am a 36 year old male, weighing in at 153.5 lbs. at a height of 6'0". Yep, you can call me skinny. The most I have ever weighed is 165 lbs. and that was in college when I was drinking a lot and eating lots of fast food. I have noticed over the past few years that I will gain weight in my stomach and chin if I don't exercise for long periods of time which never really happened before. I guess it's a sign of my metabolism slowing down or I just need to get off my ass and workout consistantly.
I plan to begin a new weightlifting program here soon and I hope to finally add some muscle to my body. I am currently trying to build my endurance because the last time I went to the gym I felt like a wimp because I couldn't lift much and my body became tired easily. I just started some light jogging and walking to help improve my endurance. I am self-employed and have a very flexible schedule, but working out just hasn't been on my list of things to do in a while and I want to make working out an important part of my life.
I look forward to listening to advice and suggestions as I begin my journey to finally gain some muscle.
