Hi folks! This seems like a very informative forum! I'll be spending a few days searching threads for valuable info on training techniques and how to combine weight-loss, fat loss and muscle building.
On that topic I have a question to Eric Boser about one of the points he wrote in his very interesting article entitled "Overtrain If You Don't Want To Gain!".
In item 3 towards the middle, he says a workout should not last longer than 60-75 minutes. I'm fine with that and my muscle building workouts usually last about an hour... My issue is that I usually add to this about 45 minutes of cardio (elliptical) since I am interested in fat loss as well... Is this ok?
So far it seems fine to me. I have gained weight AND lost fat doing it this way. I have been also respecting all other points Eric makes in his article (training no more than 4 days a week, etc).
Any comments welcomed. Thanks!
