I think I understand. To get bigger, the first thing is to eat more. I think what you're talking about are protein shakes. They are very helpful also. For the workouts, for optimum hypertrophy range, try doing 6-10 reps each set. That should be enough to enlarge the muscle but not tone it down, which I think you don't want.

i see thanks, is whey powder anygood? i looked at it, its like a shake powder right?
i doo eat loads but i never put weight on lol always had tht trouble :-( and after say 10 reps should i be not able to pyshically lift it again is tht how much weight wre talkin about?
cheers

Whey is good. Maybe you have fast metabolism, that is hard to overcome. Concerning the weight you are talking about; I'm not sure what you're trying to ask, but yes, 10 reps max is good. How much weight we are talking about? By the way I understand what you're trying to say is, the weight is different for every exercise.

i see thanks,
i dont kow how much weight i can lift 10 reps i normally just set it on a sorta weight tht feels heavy and doo tht but thts more of 20 reps i can doo soo ill have to goo experment..i got one of them bench sets ive got some free weights somewere as well ill have to goo find them..

As mentioned earlier, to get bigger take a closer look at your diet. If you havent already, then read the sticky 'guide to ...' in the diet and nutrition section it has some great info to help you with your diet.

Head over to the diet & nutrition section and start reading. Read every word of the stickies. Don't skim or browse.

Most people in your situation either A: aren't eating as much as they think or B: aren't eating foods conducive to gaining muscle mass.

ok thanks alot guys i shall get reading,
cheers
