Tablets and tablet-notebook hybrids are creating a buzz at this year's IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin. Technology giants such as Samsung, Sony, Toshiba and Lenovo are releasing a range of new tablets and hybrids at the show. (Sept. 4)

No doubt that tablets are where things are headed and I presume the they will be coming quicker and the companies will not/cannot sit on technology and wait for sales before coming out with "new" stuff.

I'm not into tablets now, but depending on my schedule and commutes I'll probably be on board.

I really like how Microsofts Surface has a cover with the keyboard built in. Also like that Toshiba Satellite with the slide out keyboard...

that's why I still have a HTG G2 for a phone. I prefer to text on the slide out kb, not a fan of the touchscreen that much at least not for texting. I've gotten used to it on my motorola tablet.

I can't say I'm crazy about these virtual touch keyboards myself, which is why I clung to my Blackberrys so long. I probably answer 15 work emails/website inquiries a night and 30-50 over the course of a 3 day weekend via my phone and it can be frustrating at times, though something I've learned is the faster you type the more accurate the auto-complete feature is.
