Broke my wrist just over a month ago and I just got the cast off. I have some muscle atrophy of the wrist and forearm but mostly a large loss of flexibility. I can flex the wrist 30 degrees towards the palm 5-8 drgrees to the back side and side to side. The thumb sufered a magor dislocation and is at around 30% strength. I plan on doing rotational exercises with a giro ball and grip training with power putty and holding off on any lifting until the flexibility is better and the thumb no longer hurts. I have a hoist 210 gym in my home office to use

I'm up for any suggestions

Hi FireDude

I had the same problem I fratured my wrist in 2 places like 2 splints I had to go in for an operation to put the bones back togther it took 3 months until the cast was taken off and I had a cast all the way up my arm.

If I was older the surgeon said it would be more serious and it could have been long term damage.

I was 2 years before it started to really recover because I lost so much muscle and damaged ligaments ect.

What helped me was going to the swimming baths and slowly felxing my wrist under water.

I would u stress balls to ease into it them up it and take your time it could take longer if u damage it again but ease into it.

Hope it goes well.
