Officers to face steroid charges
TWO St Helens police officers are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court today charged with misconduct and supplying bodybuilding drugs.
DC Paul Fletcher, 46 of Bryn, Wigan and Sergeant Paul Hornby, 42, of Winstanley, are accused of conspiring to supply anabolic steroids.
They are also charged with misconduct in public office and have been suspended by Merseyside Police pending the investigation.
It emerged this month that the charges were brought against them on Thursday, April 14.
The officers appeared at Liverpool Magistrates??? Court a fortnight ago and they were bailed to face crown court for a preliminary hearing.
Flecher???s son, also Paul Fletcher jnr, 26, will also appear in court accused of supplying steroids.
