BOO HOO..........................at least he didn't pardon muderers like Clinton did back onto the streets. We all knew this was coming. No surprise. They have been many worse pardons. And this really wasn't a pardon. He is still a convicted felon and has to pay a huge fine. He just spared him jail time. BIG difference.
Who are you kidding here? We all "knew" this was coming. . .instead of the long statements from the White House about not interfering with a criminal investigation or the appeal?
And since the King hasn't ruled out a complete pardon. . .yet. . .what's a measly little fine that is easily covered by the neo-con legal defense fund, which has a nice $5 million stashed away for Libby's defense? Hmm...wasn't that Fred Thompson character on that committee raising the money, too?
Ah well...just think . . .if he violates the probation, what will happen to him. . .he'll get a new office as punishment?

wow, I can't believe how much Olberman has aged. I remeber watching him when i was a young kid on sports cetner. he was awesome...one of the guys that really set the table for what sports center has become....part sports/part comedy.

To say that Olberman could put the smackdown on anyone is a fucking joke. Olberman is one small intellectual notch above Nancy Grace. The guy is a douche of the worst kind. Funniest thing is, you can tell he practices his facial expressions in the mirror. what a tool.

I'd be interested to know if Olberman thinks Clinton should have served 30 months for his perjury, considering he obviously thinks Libby should.

Libby's fine was $250K. Thompson has raised tons more than that. Libby won't pay a cent of his own money.

That jury of seven women and four men, who deliberated for ten days, couldn't possibly be more capable than our King, who also appointed himself the arbiter for appropriate sentencing.

Uh...don't you have that the wrong way around? Now tell us again what conservatives were bringing to the government that was so much more enlightened, so much more concerned about honesty and integrity, so much more dedicated to "values."

For any public commentator to be asking for the President's resignation isn't something most Americans take lightly. . .but then this wasn't a blue dress and a blowjob, either.

If Republicans lose the next election, it won't be simply because of the war - and the party has worked overtime shooting itself on most issues, including the amazing inability to accept any responsibility when they fuck up. Your party has a clown car full of old white men running next year - half of whom think The Flintstones is an historical documentary, most of whom have committed biblical adultery while they bleat about "family values," and none of whom have a clue about what anyone thinks beyond the fringe they serve.

This is exactly what you don't seem to get - your party ran two campaigns whining about the "moral" decay of America and how electing conservatives to government would re-establish trust and dignity to our public offices. That isn't what we got. So instead of facing that reality, all we get now is the fingerpointing, the grade school whining "but THEY did it eight years ago."
Who the fuck cares about "back then?" Republicans wanted the power and they proved themselves to be exactly what they claimed the Democrats were - and sometimes worse. Public trust in the government is at - or near- an all-time low. The American public can't even trust their own media or the news any longer. They can't believe in the court system, because your party just encouraged suspicions that the elite gets special treatment. They can't trust their Congress, because obstructing legislation for partisan purposes is more important than getting anything done for the American people. And they sure as hell can't trust the King in the White House - he can't even speak in a complete sentence.
All the whining about the "liberals" and the "Democrats" didn't do shit for the American public. . .it only established some parallel universe for conservatives to present nothing more than their own whiney talking points, no matter what cost to the nation. Your party doesn't even believe enough in the American people to provide them all of the information to make their own minds up - because the Party is more important. So what the hell have conservatives given this nation? A lot of flagwaving claims of patriotism and devotion while exploiting every divisive issue they can manufacture at a time when we are supposedly "at war."

I'll tell you what it means when Clinton's pardon person (Mark Rich) was represented by Libby.....
It demonstrates how little difference there is b/t parties and don't let people tell you otherwise. The differences are in comparison of perosn to person....not party to party.
