They did what other American companies tend to do. They didn't develop something new, relying on their name to keep product selling. That worked so well for GM, Ford and Chrysler.
iPhone and Android crushed the Blackberry market, also they really do suck. I used to work in IT so I have a lot if first hand experience with them as well as a Blackberry server which was also a piece of shit! Every time there was a Microsoft update the Blackberry server would crash, and then u sit on hold for up to an hour or more waiting for help.
