I've been taking ON's 100% Whey for a couple years I would guess. I use 3 cups per day, one in the AM, one immediately following workout, and one in the PM. Anyways, I'm about to run out and discovered the Pro Complex. It seemed the main difference is that it was a blend of proteins, as well as vitamins. Are the benefits of this blend substantial compared to 100% whey? Also, are the vitamins provided in it comprehensive to the point that no multivitamin is necessary?

I'm also exploring the idea of what multivitamins to take, as I'm currently not taking anything special, just Centrum Advanced Formula...I've read about Animal Pak, is it necessary to take something besides regular centrum?

By the way, I'm 19, workout 4x a week, and I'm 5'8 175lbs if any of it makes a difference...

I appreciate any advice.

Personally I don't think the pro complex is worth the price premium, their regular whey is great quantity (although it's less protein per serving). This advice applies to a too multivitamin IMO, unless you're getting a real unique benefit (e.g. chelated minerals).

You are better with ON's 100% Whey + multi.. usually the vitamins that they add to shakes are of poor quality and have low dosages of the minerals that you need the most like zinc, magnesium, calcium, B6, etc... Animal pak is a quality product but is overpriced and over-hyped..

I currently use SAMs Club Multi (about $10 for 300 tabs) and add zinc picolinate, magnesium, calcium citrate and a time released B-100 complex to that. It is cheaper and more efficient.

You're paying for the egg protein

Ok thanks :thumb: I think I'll stick with the ON 100% Whey, thanks for the input guys. On another note, if you buy a 10lb bag is there anyway to reseal it, or do you just have to leave it open where you cut it.

actually, if you dont mind one g of fat, costco sells a brand "sportpharma" and it tastes KICK ASS. It also mixes better than all the whey or ON.

I got 6lbs for $20. And that wasn't even on sale

It has a Zip plastic type closing.

The servings per container of the pro complex make it very expensive compared to the regular 100%.
