I have been working out for approximately a year, but with various moves and such it has been difficult to keep a steady plan.
Me and a friend just drew up a workout plan that were going to try for 6 weeks and then go from there. It consists of:

Mon - Chest/Tris
Tues - Legs/cardio
Wed - Back/Bis
Thurs - Chest/Tris
Fri - Legs/cardio
Sat - Back/Bis
Sun - Day Off

There is also a abdomin regime for non-leg days.

Please give me input on this workout routine. I have a good knowledge of exercises and such but am constantly discovering things wrong with my efforts.

Welcome to the forum.

What you have listed isn't a workout --- it's a list of body parts. Please include the exercises and the rep ranges.

Additionally, what are your goals with your programming?

Like m11 said, what you have posted is just a training split, not a program. Where are the exericses/sets/reps/rest intervals/intensities?

As far as the split goes, why are you training everything twice in a week with no rest at all? You grow outside the gym when you rest, not inside the gym where you cause even more damage!

sorry about that. my concerns were moreso based on the weekly organization.

Chest/tri day
-bench press
-inclined flys
-dumbell press
-skullcrushers
-tri pushdowns
-dips

Leg day
-squats/deadlifts (back and forth)
-leg press
-calf raises
-back extensions
-cardio

Back/bi day
-bent rows
-lat pulldown
-shrugs
-dumbell curls
-reverse curls
-bar curls

except for dips and back extensions, which consist of 3 sets of 10 to 15, everything is based on the pyramid scheme (3 sets of 10, 7, and 4 reps, raising the weight each time) with initiall exercersise of the day having an extra 1 or 2 light warm up sets.

The main objective is to increase our maxes and increase muscle mass.

This is what most people tend to do when lifting, breaking everything into body part splits. Try working out with movements instead of body parts. Upper/Lower ...Push/Pull. Alternate your routine that way between upper and lower, and push and pull.
