I spent 2 hours with my "coach" tonite learning to pose. and all that I can say is that I had no idea how DIFFICULT it was.. heck I worked up just as much a sweat as I do in a cardio session! Immm soo sore right now, I can only imagine tomarrow morning! lol :p

LoL, your a silly girl ;)
I think thats all you need to do... make a perfect posing routine, and EVERYTHING will be perfect :D

thanks PreMier! :)
But I am going to BLOW the audiance away. we worked on some lil special touches too. Im going to perfect everything and be in the best shape I can. Its all about how I present myself, I want to be the most confident and comfortable person on that stage. And if I come in last, then so be it. hehe (altho I would love to kick a couple of those female juicemonkeys butts in the city that are going up against me). :D

Yes most people dont understand how hard posig is and how much it HURTS afterwards...My lower back kills for days after a show...at one show we had to stand on stage for 40 min :hair: posing....now thats alot of sticking that booty out
You will get it...once you feel the pose you never lose it if you practice...practice makes perfect applies again ;)

confidence shows up on stage :thumb: and will pull a second place finisher to first. just keep on saying to yourself on stage "i am the shit" thats what i use

40 mins! :o yikes! my lower back and lats are killing me now! hahaha
Im going to practice every single day. and Ill be practicing keeping my butt stuck out while waiting at the bus stops just for the extra practice. haha

i think that is a compliment ^^^ right  thanks ;) anyways.

yes the 40min was rediculous and one girl actually passed out on stage...sometimes i practice the good old lat spread at the bus stop too....when i dont want people to cut in front of me  doesnt stop them though :funny: once you got the lat spread though girl you are rocking...its the hardest pose to get IMO.

as long as you walk out there looking like you own it and no one else is on stage...you will catch the judges eyes...once a judge pays attention to you...shoot them your best smile and pose and boom they are yours ;)
where is the comp again?

the comps here in Halifax Jen. (weird calling you Jen and my name being the same.. haha)
Thank you for all the advice and insights!! sure helps with my determination and motivation levels!

you know the lat spread I got good now, I was doing it ALL Wrong before. haha its just that darned back double bi. either my joints are weird or its just an akward position! :P

yup, it's like anything else I guess when you watch someone that is good it looks easy, but it's actually quite difficult.

wait til you get on stage, it's even harder! ;)

and how right that it is!
ahhh Im up for the challenge! :D

My trainer started me posing 4 weeks ago at 10 seconds for all the poses, twice! I never realized how hard it was. I was shaking like a virgin on her prom night! heh..
4 weeks later I am somewhat better at 30 seconds for each pose, and I did get pics taken. I was kind of embarrassed at how poorly (and how FAT I was) but that did help.
I am trying to step away from the mirror and *feel* the pose. Hard, but enjoyable. I was the fat kid growing up and now I am living my second dream of my life. It's freakin' great to be alive!!!!

Wow! What a winning attitude. Yaknow just speaking as a fan of BB, "and yeah its a great fan sport as well", the spectators get caught up with an athlete that is confident and coming out on stage to kick ass. I think fan reaction has an impact on the judges. Ever see how the fans would go wild when Corey hit the stage? That confidence screams out from the stage and infects everyone in the place.

You go girl. I wish I could be there to watch you :thumb: ....................take care..................Rich

Rich.. this is over 6 months old ;) She isnt going to compete any more.

yup, it really is. most people see bodybuilders at a show and think it's so easy to get up there and pose. :nope:
