Greetings,

I am looking for a lot of information on Powerbuilding. I tried bodybuilding and wasn't happy with it as far as strength. I am trying a Powerlifting routine but have been using the form of a bodybuilder, ie on bench i do a powerlifting routine with the form of a bodybuilder (flat on the bench no lean or arc). I'd like to keep the strength and density i've been getting with powerlifting and add some size and hypertrophy and shape to the equation visa vi bodybuilding.

So does anyone know any good forums, articles, websites, books, routines, etc. on Powerbuilding?

Thanks

TYG

Woah, any bodybuilder with a brain will use powerlifting form when going heavy. Even the "small" Flex Wheeler used proper form. Of course if you want to hurt your back and rotators, keep benching dead fish style.

Powerbuilding is just powerlifting but with a bodybuilders diet (as well as some movements PLers wont do, more shoulder work etc), it doesn't mean lift like an idiot my friend :D

Exactly. I use the title "Powerbuilding" under my name. What I mean by that is to mainly concentrate on the big three lifts, like a powerlifter. But at the same time do more direct work for biceps, rear delts, quads, calfs, etc, more like a bodybuilder would.

I also think of a "powerbuilder" as someone who is happy with above 10% bodyfat, yet takes pride in their physique, but also their strength accomplishments.

:thumb: Yeah, what he said.

A dead fish...I do not want to have a powerlifters form on bench because i want to hit my chest in the workout and keep my legs and back out of the workout...i'll use them when i do squats and deadlifts. I love the feeling my chest feels after i do a powerliftin "routine" with bodybuilding "form" ie:

today i did flat bench for 6 sets on the first 4 sets i did 6 reps with 245lbs then the last 2 sets i did 5 reps with 245 lbs, i was supposed to do 6x6 but the last rep on the last 2 sets killed me.

I'd like to have the johnnie o jackson thing going
