Hey, is there a place where you have written out some of the workouts you've been using over the last few months... I'm really impressed with your overall development...

thanks!

I do my own variation of gopro's work-out, meaning I will go
heavy one week, higher reps one week, then super set type work-outs the next.

I keep things rather simple though, and try and keep my sets between 6-10 depending on the bodypart. Something I learned from AST's Max-OT program.

I like compound movements, and I never try and focus on silly things like a quad sweep, or inner this, outer that, I do not believe in it. I do believe in prioritizing though, which I have been doing with ams the last few months.

For the most part I train rather instinctively, I try and do different exercises every work-out, so if I train chest I might do decline barbell press & pec dec week one, then flat dumbbell flyes and incline barbell press week two, etc.

My goal is to keep my body off balance, do not let it adapt to what I am doing. I also try and take breaks, something I have learned in my old age. Every few months or so I take a complete week off, sometimes even 10 days from training.

As far as a set training plan, do not really follow one, nor have I ever written anything down....maybe I should though. :)

Does this mean that you do arms more often than other body parts , or do higher reps, or perhaps go heavier. If you could please elaborate on this one. Thanks.

I guess "prioritizing" was not the best word to use. :)

I used to do the typical back/biceps & chest/triceps routine, now biceps and triceps get their own day, so essentially they get trained twice per week, indirectly on chest and back days.

interesting, I do a similar workout... I do chest/tri, back/bi, legs/shoulders and I mix up the exercises like you do... but my reps have been pretty constant at around 6-10 as well... I was thinking about working some of the P, RR, S principles into my routine... seems to have worked very well for you... :D

you find that your tris are tired by the time your done? or same with bis on back day?

i heard pre exaustion is total BS

well, you figure, on chest/tri day I'm doing

Dips
Flat and decline bench
pec dec
DB flys
then I do some cable or dumbbell work directly for triceps, about 4-8 sets depending...

I feel I'm getting the chest and tris pretty good with this approach...

i dont give my arms their own day, i wish i could though --- i cant becuase if i do them before shoulders, i cant shoulder press for shit.. so if i do it after my triceps get too sore to bench good a few days later... i dont think i overtrain my triceps or my chest, but those two bodyparts still get sooo sore
