Just curious what percentage of pro athletes you guys think use gear? Maybe I'm just naive but when I saw guys like Patrick Willis, Ray Lewis, etc I thought they just had great genetics and can stay 250 lbs year round. But after doing a little research, I'm led to believe a high percentage of athletes use. Like over 70% but that's just my guess. One of my good friends back home is a 3 time world champion in MMA. He was fighting before MMA was as huge as it is now. He used consistently and told me all the guys use and find ways around the test. I know Rick Ankiel and I remember seeing him one year after his rookie season and we partied like rock stars. The following year he sat in the corner drinking water which I thought was odd. A few years later I read he had HGH sent to his house. I know gear use is or was prevalent in baseball. I just thought sports like MMA and football had better testing in place that would deter athletes from using but I guess that's not the case. I saw a website that listed every positive test in MMA, at least the upper echelon, from the first UFC. Royce Gracie was on the list. I heard they rarely test in the NCAA and nfl in the offseason so I guess it would be easy to use test suspension or prop to get that edge and get it in and out ASAP. If anyone has any more intimate details of this and could share without disclosing too much, that would be great.

This really isn't the same at all but I know a LOT of college football players at various colleges around the US and the steroid use among all of them AND their teammates is crazy high.

So I am sure it just spills over into the pro ranks as well

A lot of MMA fighters are on rHGH, due to the fact they knock their pituitary loose or multiple shots to the head will kill it as well. As for all other mainstream sports, I'd say 75pc of athletes use PED's IMO...

I just find it odd they would tarnish their career and legacy with just one positive test and that alone would deter me from using if I competed at that level. It just seems the risk outweigh the benefits when it's your name on the line. I guess they feel everyone else uses so they need to level the playing field. I've been reading a lot more threads recently about NCAA football players trying to get around their testing but I heard they don't test much in college anyways.

When I played D-1 College football in California, I'd say 85 pc of athletes were using AAS, Ephedrine, and other stems. On game day we would have 4 coffee pots brewing for players. 2 with regular coffee and "the greenie pots".. that were filled with amphetamines from Mecico. So many players got hooked on those stems, it was ridiculous!! In the pros, you're not winning unless you're cheating .. Ask Victor Conte!!!!

Plus you have to remember they're only tested during the season. Knowing when to time cycles and fool tests is what made Balco so big.

That and his "clear" was undetectable.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Does anyone know what the "clear" would be comparable to? Like was it similar to winstrol, test, deca, etc? That shit made Bonds huge. I'm sure he was on a lot of other stuff too like HGH but I'm curious what the "clear" was similar to. If I remember correctly, it is a clear liquid that absorbs under your tongue.

What a farce. I think a better question would be, how many don't use. And if they don't, they most likely ride the pine.

Shiite, even guys in wheelchairs take gear or some type of PED's.

From what I was told from a reliable source in Nor Cal, "the clear" was a synthetic testosterone formulated to absorb sublingually or transdermal, also coming up negative on the doping test. Victor is now an advocate of anti-doping? This guy is VERY smart. I wouldn't be surprised if he's working on the next big thing. I know he was using Plasma Enhancers (PE's) on a number of track athletes according to Milos..

If these guys know that other players are using, how else can they compete against them without using themselves? Any sport, especially at the college and pro levels are all about how well you perform. Now a days playing at the higher levels without using would be like trying to play without a helmet. And another point, at the level that these guys compete, week end and week out, games, practice and training and return the next week, they have to be doing something...just my $0.02

I believe i remember hearing it was a test gel that was formulated to keep the testosterone-epitestosterone ratio within the allowable range...

So it's basically similar to Test?

most hgh,anavar,halotestin...only good quality products for pure muscles gain..and yes hard training and good diets!

Or maybe that was the cream. There definitely was one of the 2 that was testosterone though.

honestly i wouldnt be surprised if the NFL looked the other way regarding AAS... can you imagine how boring football would be if everyone was natural? it'd be a like a bunch of soccer players tackling each other :coffee:

Ok. I just used google. The clear apparently was THG and the cream was testosterone/ epitestosteone combo. Like a hopped up androgel that was undetectable at the time.

You mean like MLB now? It sucks w/o gear.

It really depends on the the sport. Since we all seem to be talking about football here, I'd say maybe 50%. You have to remember guys at positions like QB most likely aren't on shit. Plus, there are a lot of genetic freaks.

Idk. Peyton Mannings recovery from what amounts to a neck transplant in a year at his age makes me wonder if he didnt use a little something to help...

I agree. I think in MMA they look the other way. Dana White said recently he's more concerned about pot then roids. Look what it did to baseball. People want to watch the extraordinary which is achieved easier by using PEDs. Watching a bunch of athletes that aren't doing extraordinary things just makes for boring tv and tv is big business in all sports.

After you lose the function of the pituitary gland- and it's not talking to "the boys" anymore, then you won't produce hormones. Mainly why almost all MMA fighters take GH/ Test. Dana absolutely turns his head to AAS. If he didn't, he'd have a big problem on his hands.

Thats incorrect....i train with a 12 yr nfl vet...he has never used any peds....notbing...not even a multi vitamin...so 100% is the wrong answer...:)

Curious, but what position does he play along with his height/weight?
