So I work 1st shift , the lady works 2nd . On her way to work her serpentine belt popped off n snapped .
she is to proud to ask for help , she?s the type to suffer before she asks a favor .
She calls her dad and he says to have it towed and to he would fix it on the weekend. She would call off tomorrow and Friday.

i hear this moronic plan immediately look on autozone , borrow $50 , call my mechanic (buddy) make the plans
boom my buddy is giving her a ride to work, I drop the belt off he comes back puts the belt on boom she gets to and from work doesn?t miss or pay for a tow . Total savings $400

i feel quite accomplished

did she thank you for handling it or get upset that you didnt let her handle it her way like most women do

I got thanked but when the belt broke it cracked the coolant reservoir

She can drive it , but it will over heat . I stopped and got her a gallon of water to pour in it before she drives home

That happened to my wife once. I told her to just drive it home. Turn off the A/C, blower, radio, don't use anything that'll use electricity. Oh, and the steering will be pretty difficult. You can drive a decent distance before the battery dies.
