I've looked over the forum, and maybe missed it, but I don't see anything about fruits and veggies.

I eat 1-2 bananas a day, and maybe an apple also. I eat them as snacks, and as part of meals.

Too much sugar in them, or are they ok? If so, are there other veggies or fruits I'd be better off eating?

I love fruits and veggies. But then again, I don't care about the sugar and calories right now. I guess it depends upon what your goals are. Produce contains lots of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They are healthy snacks for the average person, not the best choice for someone who is cutting. For the average schmuck like me, they beat the hell out of potato chips and Doritos.

Yes, it depends on your goals and what type of diet you're on. Apples are great w/ any diet, bananas I would keep for a bulk. Fresh, dark green veggies are good anytime. but it's always best to use them as part of a meal, snacking isn't recommended :D

Mmmmmmmm.............Doritos....!!!!!!!!!!:D

I do not think it's really possible to eat too many veggies, but fruits are high in sugar. Some fruits like apples or low on the glycemic index (as w8lifter said), so they're better than others, but you do not want to eat too much fruit. Of course all of this depends on your goals...are you trying to gain weight, lose weight, get lean, etc?

They have these new Baked Doritos. It tastes like a Baked Tostito with seasoning on it. No big deal.

I tried something new my last cut.
Usually I would cut out all fruits entirely
except for the occasional apple or handful of strawberries.

But,
I tried something new the last time around.
I had 3 pieces of fruit a day.
Usually 2 bananas and an apple.
I had no problem dropping the fat.
And I was very happy with the results.

It took me a little longer than usual to lose the fat
but I still found my new cutting plan to be sucessful.

I think it was do to the fact that the fruit helped to keep
me feeling full.
In turn, I ate less calories overall.
Just my two cents on fruit.

Thanks for all the advice. Actually, I just dropped 50lbs of fat over the past 5 months. I dropped to 175, now I'm back up to 180. Wooo Hooo!!!! 5lbs of muscle!!!.

I'd like to bulk up for a few months, and was curious if fruits would hinder that.

EEWWWW !!! Does he know what's in that stuff  :D

Seriously though, lots of great advise here, veggies: all good for bulking some for cutting, and fruits: only apples, strawberries, and a few others are good to eat all the time. Other fruits should be eaten in moderation while bulking.
