In clinical use, Letrozole is primarily administered to halt the progression of breast cancer in women and has the additional benefit of modestly increasing testosterone levels. Many anabolic steroids aromatize (convert to estrogen via the aromatase enzyme), a process that is responsible for many of the undesirable side effects which accompany anabolic steroid use.
Letro has been shown to reduce estrogen levels by 98% or greater.
In at least one documented incident, Letrozole reduced test subject estrogen to undetectable levels, while increasing LH, FSH and SHBG.
In a study conducted on mice, gyno-like changes in the mammary gland were totally destroyed!
Here is a quote from that study:
???Our results also indicate aromatase overexpression-induced changes in mammary glands can be abrogated [destroyed] with very low concentrations of the aromatase inhibitor, Letrozole. (7)???

I was digging around more and found this very interesting!
Here is a summary of the test thanks to medical books:

The potent anti-tumor effects of letrozole have been demonstrated in several animal models [77, 78, 94]. Letrozole induced complete regression of estrogen-dependent, 9,10-dimethylbenz-a-anthracene (DMBA)-induced mammary tumors in adult female rats [95]. The ED50 for letrozole was determined to be 10–30 μg/kg/day.
The use of MCF-7 cells transfected with human aromatase gene (MCF-7Ca) and implanted into athymic nude mice has proved to be an effective in vivo model for predicting clinical results with AIs [61, 96, 97]. Using this model, it has been shown that letrozole produces dose-dependent inhibition of tumor growth, resulting in complete inhibition at a daily dose of 10 μg/animal/day [94, 98]. Comparative studies using the MCF-7Ca model have shown that letrozole is more effective at suppressing tumor growth than the pure anti-estrogen fulvestrant and the SERM tamoxifen [99]. While anastrozole was also better than fulvestrant and tamoxifen in suppressing tumor growth, only letrozole was shown to induce tumor regression [99].

I found that last part VERY interesting, thought I would add it in.
