And here is some basic info on this compound:
Tamoxifen is an antagonist of the estrogen receptor in breast tissue via its active metabolite, hydroxytamoxifen. In other tissues such as the endometrium, it behaves as an agonist, and thus may be characterized as a mixed agonist/antagonist. Tamoxifen is the usual endocrine (anti-estrogen) therapy for hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in pre-menopausal women, and is also a standard in post-menopausal women although aromatase inhibitors are also frequently used in that setting.
Some subjects mainly use Tamoxifen Citrate to increase the body's own testosterone production, to counter the side effects caused by the rise in estrogens from anabolic agents. When estrogen becomes the dominant hormone, Tamoxifen plays a key role in balancing proper hormone levels. Subjects who have stronger tendencies to incur gynecomastia, strong water retention, or increased fat deposits with anabolic agents will use this SERM to counter these side-effects and/or possibly an aromatase inhibitor.
