prop hard to filter

Wow, I made some homemade prop and it was very hard to filter. I made 200ml @100mg/ml. It took me pretty much all day Saturday to filter. I had to use a 3cc syringe because the 20 was impollible and the 10 was even hard. It filtered alot harder than my fina, like about twice as hard. Is this normal. Also I've been working insane hrs lately so that's why i haven't been around.

man... it took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to make that much prop...

Next time bring a pot of water to a boil and put the uncorked vial in the water and after it gets hot... draw it.. put it threw the filter.. and your good to go. will glide very nicely... so good u need to put only 1 pound of pressure on the syringe to push it through the whatman at a good pace.

I put it in hot water but it wasn't boiling I'll definitely try that next time. Did your prop push harder than your fina though?

I have heard that synovex is hell on Whatmans, its not real propionate either.
