hI,

Can Anyone advise?

I found this which looks wrong to me, the arms should be slightly bent shouldnt they?

http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/ex/exercises.asp?ID=74

I was once advised to turn my wrists at the top of the movement so my thumbs point down, almost like holding jugs and then pooring?

Bare in mind i am all out for width so i need to maintain focus on the medial head.

I think slightly bent is a good idea, but it probably doesn't matter a whole lot if you're raising 2 pound dumbbells like that woman is.

lol sorry for the stupid reply ... i didn't read his post well , i thought he meant lats , didn't notice it was an abbreviation of lateral ..lol :laugh:

But yeah, when i do them (sparingly these days, go OH Press! :thumb:), i have my arms slightly bent too. I dont like locking the elbows in any lifts really.

Moment = Force x Distance.

By reducing the distance the weight is from your deltoids, you are effectively reducing the weight.

So those guys who look like they are doing the chicken dance but with REALLY BIG dumbells are really pansies? :D

This site also said that less than 20% of men would get big muscles.

Any man doing the chicken dance, with or without weights, will look like a pansy. Or should I say, gurly-maaaaaan.
