Started thinning on top about 20 yrs ago, have a dad who was half-bald at 25 and nearly bald at 45 so I know I've got the genes, and finasteride basically halted my balding in its tracks. Even through a few years of AAS use there's been very little progress. So, great for me.

Oh, maybe you meant prostate treatments? Dunno. Can still pee if that counts.

I slice up the Proscar pills into quarters for ~1.25 mg each. MPB usually doses at 1mg/day so this works fine and accommodates the irregular chunks of pills since the small tabs are tough to cut precisely.

I've used Proscar for over a year now. I also use Regenepure dr and Lipogaine from amazon. The combo completely halted my hair loss and I've had significant regrowth around the temples. I had little hair loss on the top of my head but can still tell it thickened up. I also cut the 5mg into 1.25mg a day. No need to go beyond that. I've run many cycles and don't get any hair loss.

You will get increased shedding the first month or 2. I've experienced none of those horror stories about the sexual side effects.

True there are some rare but apparently legit cases of complete sexual shutdown. Total ED and loss of libido. It's a risk to consider.

Also the low levels of DHT may lead to some other sides that haven't been studied much -- decreased anabolic effects and lower ability to form new memories.

Each time I ran finasteride I experienced a loss of sex drive.
I don't get this side effect with dutasteride.

As far as hair loss prevention 0.5mg duta eod works more or less like 1mg of fina ed.

That's interesting since dutasteride looks to be more powerful, behaving as finasteride but also blocking another DHT conversion path. I need to try some though... I wonder if it'll regrow more hair.

Bear in mind that both of these drugs along with accutane make all of us ineligible to donate blood, unless we're comfortable causing birth defects in any unfortunate pregnant women receiving the blood.
