new at the gym, work a 13 hour night shift, fit my training in the morning after work. was recommended syntha-6 by a trainer at the gym to avoid eating a full meal after my work out, since i go straight home for bed to get ready for work.
i thouth this was a protein powder is this the right meal replacement?

you might want to find something with a mix of proteins in it. something with casien and whey. also make sure your getting at least 1g of protein per lb of body weight. theres a lot of info in the stickys above

Assumption is that there is 45 minutes from the time you finish your last set, and the time you go to bed. If at all possible, have a whey/carb based shake (with no fat) when you finish your last set at the gym (chugg it down before you do anything else). Then when you get home, eat a balanced meal of solid food. It can be cottage cheese/peanut butter/veggies or lean meat and veggies, or tuna and some veggies. It does not have to be a large meal either.

Yes it is what ever works for your body. So try something out that appeals to you for a week or so. Tweak as needed.
