I am currently taking optimum's 100% whey. I don't always have time to take the suggested 1-2 g per pound. I was wondering if it were alright to take two servings at one time. Each serving has about 22 grams of protein.

Do your best to space it through the day evenly across however many meals you are taking in. If you can't even reach 1g per pound though, you will reach a point where growth stops, definately.

There are other foods that you can eat to help you meet protien requirements other than protien powders. Eat alot of eggs, egg whites, fish, chicken, beef, etc. Those forms of protien are better for you anyhow and you KNOW what you are getting. Protien powders aren't required to meet label claims so you may be getting a batch of Betty Crocker cake mix for all you know. Optimum is a pretty good brand and is probably close to what the label says. Whey proteins are usually only good post workout. Eat whole foods whenever you can.

You can certainly handle 44 g of whey in one sitting.

As time goes on you will get used to eating the amounts of food, I had problems for about a week or two getting used to being constantly full, but by now I'm actually hungry about every 2-2.5 hours so I could actually eat more, just takes some adjustment so work up to it 200-400 calories or so a week.

High protein is part of how you can do your best to maintain muscle while losing fat, but the rest of your diet and workout plan has to be setup properly as well. Do you best to spread your meals evenly through the day as far as nutritional values, which not only helps the metabolism out but helps keep protein in the body at all times. You would probably want to pull back your carbs and possibly fats after 6/7pm as well.

Its very hard to eat the right food because I'm either at school the whole day or at work. I try to eat every 3 hours starting at 630. I start off with a protein shake. At 930, I usually eat an apple or a banana. 1230, tuna or chicken salad sandwiche. 330, a metrx protein bar. 630, whatever my mom cooks for dinner, but I try to stay away from the carbs(ya, I still live with my parents. . . .so what. Im only 23). And at 930, after i work out, I have another protein shake.

Your diet is not too bad. You are obviously doing your best. Most importantly try to get in at least 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight each day and not more than 2 grams of carbs per lb. In order to drop some fat you may wish to go highe on protein and lower on carbs.

Thanks for the infor GP. So, since I'm tight on time, do you think its a bright idea to double the servings in one sitting since I'm not always able to consume enough protein. My protein shake only gives 22g per serving.

Yes, double it when necessary. Get that 1 g of protein per lb of bodyweight in every day!
