protein uptake while losing fat

Stickey info recommends around 10 calories per pound as part of the fat loss strategy. I have also seen a 40/40/20 ration re protein/carbs, fat.

If I want to lose fat while gaining some muscle, that would put a 200 lb man at only 80 grams of protein a day.

I thought that 1 gram per pound was recommended to put on muscle.

Could someone explain?
 
10 cals is at the low point of a cut.

What is your calorie intake right now? are you just maintaining weight?
 
I am losing about 2lbs a week, eating around 1800-2000 calories (I was lower than that until I read one of your emails). I weigh 208 lbs. My intent is to get to around 195 asap without losing muscle or as little as possible, perhaps gaining some
 
Won't gain on a cut, because of the drop in cals
