Hey All,
Not new to this but has anyone ever experienced an increase in BP after being on TRT for about 6 months....I am on an AI (ADEX) and HCG 250iu's twice per week.. The last couple of months I have increased my Test Cyp to about 200-300 mg/ml/wk... I know I am going to get some crap for not sticking to an exact protocol but I have noticed my BP has gone up to around 144 over 78... I am always around 118 over 65-70... Strange cause I can actually feel it, and hear my heart pounding a little harder... Advice???

300mg every week isn't exactly a trt dose. Do you know where your levels sit at that dose? If you're having troubles with bp, lower your dose back down to where your dr put you at.

Thank you Sherk...I figured that would be the answer...A lot of guys seem to cruise at that dose and it does not seem to bother them, I was just curious...I am probably at about 1500 total test....

That might not solve the issue but its a place to start. Have you added any supps lately at all?

200-300 mg/ml/wk

If you don't mind the correction...you shouldn't have the "ml" in that sentence.
It should be 200-300mg/wk. Your testosterone mix is probably 200mg/ml but when we are listing doses we just use milligrams (mg).

I'd check and see if your hematocrit is high and maybe you should donate?

Hey sherk I have not done to much in the way of supps lately, just basic multi vitamin and B complex. Any advice?

The side effect of increasing hematocrit levels is pretty common. You are donating blood, so that is good. If your BP is persistant you should see a doctor. You may have other things going on.

I bought one of those BP machines to test at home. My last visit at the dr my Bp came back at 159/111. Odd b/c I'm always around 120/80 for the last two years every month like clock work. I just started tren around that time but also had a huge coffee. Anyways, I bought one of those machines and have been testing first thing when I wake up and I'm consistently getting readings under 120/80. This morning it was 110/59. The point I'm trying to make is check it regularly preferably when you haven't eaten or taken any caffeine to get a more accurate reading. The more you check it the better ideal you'll have of where you stand. Just my two cents. BP can be a scary thing.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
My bp went up when I started trt. Been taking Lisinopril and it lowered it back to normal. I also donate blood every two months to keep the hemocrit levels down.

Check it laying on your right side, cuff on the left side, it'll get you an accurate reading every time. FWIW, I learned it from ICU doctor...

Thanks everyone...

Mine goes up to around that, but if I sit for a couple minutes it goes back to like 127/72 with 80 HR. When I first sat down it was 144/78...2 minutes later it came back lower and more normal. I also notice diet plays a huge role in this, and so does cardio.

I'll give that a try. It oddly says to use your left wrist. But it says to sit up straight with feet on the ground and monitor about at heart level. I've come to the conclusion that the high reading was either from the Tren or extra large coffee I had an hour before. I tested today after walking my dogs (forgot to test right away) and it was 140/72, which isn't bad considering I just walked my dogs. The best $40 I've spent in a while.

hows your diet? water intake? supps? latest lab work...
Ohiostate,
My diet needs work, I will be honest their, seems to always be my weak point yet maybe the most important part of what I am trying to achieve which is lean muscle and more mass... My supps are pretty good, multi vitamin, taurine, B-complex, vitamin c, and starting some fish oil, I shoot for about a gallon a day of water.....Labs will be done in 4 weeks, I wish it could be sooner but its not...I also donated RBC today and feel better.. They took my BP their and it was 127/78....I also have a $35 BP setup at home now....

You could add Hawthorn or arginine to your supplements. They both lower BP.

On trt & my bp is 180 over 90...I know too friggin high, just doubled Lisinopril to 20mgs & started taking Atenabol [Beta-blocker] 5mgs a day....and Hemocrit is a problem, nobody wants my blood as I had Hepatitus in my youth.....a couple years ago I went off trt for 5 months, it was a drag.. Truth be told, I have to much tension in my life..which is difficult to end...[I'm married]...........
:wits:

charley I'd seek help with those kind of numbers. Something isn't ok about that. Imagine what they are when you workout or do cardio?

It may or may not work in your case...but that small daily dose of hctz seems to do the trick for many...but def get with the doc..

..My doctor told me that using a diuretic in my case would most likely raise my BP..... go figure ..
