Raptors Trade Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Chris Jefferies to Chicago for Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter.

I am not to sure what to think of this trade, guess we will have to wait and see. It should help with the Raptors dismal scoring this year, but they are considerably smaller now!

Remains to see if Rose and Carter will actually get along, but it was a good move for them I think. Just wish they hadn't gotten rid of JYD...he was a really good spokesperson and did a lot of good charity work in Toronto. Antonio was a whiny little bitch and will hopefully go nowhere for the rest of his career. Totally overrated IMO.

I'm so far pretty impressed with the Raps this year...they have offense problems, but their defense is leaps and bounds better than last year.

Yeah, the Defense has improved Dramtically, thanks to the new Coach. But there Offense has been foul on most nights.

I actually think Antonio was a great asset to the Raptors, and helped this team grow alot. It was unfortunate that he couldn't keep his mouth shut about wanting to be dealt.

I'm thinking it's a good trade for Toronto, obviously time will tell, but Jalen will be a great addition to the Raptors offense.

Antonio was very outspoken about wanting a trade, so the big baby got his wish and Toronto can put that whining behind them.

I personally love Antonia Davis so it is sd to see him go but i htink it is a better trade of Rose can play like he is capabl of.

Looked good tonite :thumb: from avg 78 ppg to scoring 95.

I know it is only one game but got to look at the positives.:D

I love Vince Carter, IMO he is one of the top 3 players in the league. Especially b/c he is a Tar Heel. I have been a fan of toronto since they were an expansion in 96. I would like to see them make the playoffs for sure. Go Raptors!

Vince is phenomenal to watch when he is on his game. But are many nights where you don't even notice he is on the floor. I think injuries have played a major role in him not getting the credit he deserves.

I wouldn't say he is in the top 3 (lacking alot in defense) but he is certainly a presence in the NBA:D

Looking Back a few years what are your opinions, should the Raptors have kept McGrady (also injury prone, but I feel a better all around game) or are they better off with Vince?

Imagine the team right now if they still had McGrady - with him, Carter, Bosh, Rose they would have a really solid team. I think McGrady is a great player on a crappy team.

Last night's game was pretty impressive I must admit. Id they can bring things together I think they will have a solid shot at playoffs this year.

hell ya last nights game was sicc wit it, they hit like 17 threes in the game , scored over 100 pts I think for the first time this season. looking good.

They Were on Fire last night, mind you against a sloppy Celtics team. Alvin Williams was even looking like he is getting his form back like the playoffs a few years ago.

I think the Raptors got the better end of the deal, although part of the trade was due to whining players on each team. And I think Rose's hefty contract is off the books a year earlier, so the Bulls have more cap space...but correct me if I'm wrong.

Marshall and Rose bring some much needed offense and versatility, which was evident in the last three games. It also gives the Raptors a much deeper, effective bench, IMO.

Ya, it sure does seem that this trade is paying off for the Raptors, from avg 78 ppg to close to 100 since the trade, it has been an awesome turn around.

There was no big diff in salaries between the players traded, Jerome just signed a five year deal and Antonio had $20 mill left in his contract.
