This probably sounds retarded, lol, but what's the best way to remove plates from the bar after doing deadlifts. (Bar's on ground) I usually have 225 on after my last set and sometimes I don't have the strength to get it back up to the squat rack, and sliding them off is uhh, not gunna happen since they are on the floor.

I just pick one side up at a time and slide the plates off. If someone is around, then I will occasionally ask for help in putting the bar back on the rack. It's much easier if each person grabs one side.

I lift and pull simultaneously, one side at a time. I kind of wiggle it off. No biggie. You could always do block deads instead or switch it up...

Thats why I like the "lever jacks," my gym doesn't have one.

I have rolled the inner plate up on to a little 2-1/2 pound plates. This raises the outside plates up off the ground. Then you can slide the outer plates off. You will still have to lift the last one off thou.

I also use that technique, works like a charm too!!! :thumb:

That is what I do. It makes it so much easier and you will feel like a retard once you wonder why you never thought of it before. I know I did.

I just grab somebody nearby and ask for help. We each grab an end of the bar and lift it up on the first notch of the power rack.

On one side, I lift and pull a plate off, one at a time. Once I've cleared those plates, I lift the bar straight up and dump the other side's plates on the floor. Remove the bar, then simply pick those plates up off the floor.

I was also going to suggest something like that. Once I get a plate off each side, then I can deadlift the bar back onto the rack without too much trouble. The rest of the plates are cake.

Juast grab the weight and put that crap away. Don't bother anyone else b/c your to tired or lazy to stack your own weights from the ground.
