Now he is forced to get medical insurance with is going to cost him 6k a year or get fined 4,200 is what calculated out based on his W2. Big win for Obama care

That is fine that you do not believe in the US Constitution because i am not a right wing or left wing idiot, but a libertarian. The gov't has no right to force people into anything that they do not want. Let me ask you a question because you seem to know so much about this health care policy. What contingency plan do they have in case of a gov't shut down? What is the time line for non urgent medical appointments? How can they manage an entire US healthcare system, when they cant even manage the veterans VA assistance. Why is that vets are having to leave the VA and pay out of pocket for services the gov't will not give them. You trust the gov't that much?

Also my left wing friend... What happens when the republican partys takes over again.. because you can not say it will never happen. Now they have power of the gov't controlling health care and the power to twist it the way they want... What will stop them from micro chipping people under the healthcare if they choice to? The issue is the federal gov't is taking away the power from the state and the people. If they want a health care system then allow the states to vote if they want to implement it or not for their state. There are plenty of states that voted against it, but we all know how corrupt our voting system is so that cant be held accountable. .

So my communist friend i hope you like this socialist system that you have rooting for. I hope you like your rights stripped away.

Now I know LAM or someone will come in and say our rights have been stripped away from years, but it has nothing to do with that, we should not allow that. The problem is America is lazy and wants the easy way they dont want to fight for their rights and having a gov't controlled medical system is no where stated in the Federal Constitution.

Another case in point, my cousin is a naturalist... Firmly believes in minimalist and anti medicine. Her medical is holistic dr's. there is no insurance for this. She will be forced to buy insurance now even though she will never use it. It is against her spiritual and personal belief that is supported by the constitution.

Yes, his father has a pre-existing condition. He currently has no insurance and pays for his meds out of his own pocket. Under Obama care he'll either have to pay $6K for insurance or $4.6K in fines + the price of the meds. Either way, treating his father's pre-existing condition is going to be more expensive under Obamacare than it is now. So tell me again how Obamacare is going to help his father.

yup, diabetes people with out insurance get assistance from the drug companies. He was going to wall mart and buying novalin for 30$ which last him shit months, but now he gets a slower insulin that works better forgot which one it is, but its the one that active longer then humalin -r. But he gets it for 20$ and he gets his strips for cheap to. So at most he spends maybe 150$ a year on his medication. Then his blood work and stuff cause hes old for his physicals i think he said he paid like 300$ for... So 450$ a year... Now my dads a tough SOB though so i give him that the guy passed two kidney stones in a big rig peeing into a old bottle.

the only thing he has thats bad is dental stuff cause he chews but the dentist said his teeth are healthy just having his gums kind of come back a lil bit and discolouration. Zero health issues, he eats healthy, he is active, strong as hell, actually out hiked me when we went camping.

so tell me why force someone to live a different way if it works for them?

Maybe my family has different values then most America with money and responsibility. But he is prepared to pay any bill no matter the cost and lives WAY below his means. the guys 56 and has a debt to income ratio of 5% debt. lol yeah sold just sold his house and living out of his big rig truck cause he does cross country drives. So once the home clears he will probably have close to 300k in his savings and making 4k a month with his only bill a cell phone and food. Stops by my place in Cali every other week for a movie and relax then hits the road.

maybe we were Jews in our past life but my family believes in having a surplus of money and to save and take care of our selves. I would rather take a bullet to the head then have to rely on the gov't. I am considered 90% disabled by the military, due to PTSD, PTBI, compressed spine t12 t 11, carpal tunnel, crepititues and the list goes on. I refuse to collect disability and money from the gov't for two reasons. Our country can not afford it and I consider my self a health man who can put in a honest days work.

also my dad hasnt had medical for 30 years... He had me covered but not him self... because his cost would have been around 500$ a month... that is 180,000 he saved in not having medical. He may at most over 30 years spent 5k in medical expenses other then his prescriptions. Not saying having no insurance is good. I have insurance and will never go without it, but its his constitutional right.

since this thread is all about bitching about obama and the GOP, i didn't really read any of what y'all posted but i do have a solution. a final solution, if you will. put every member of the legislative branch as well as the executive branch in a locked water tight room that is slowly filling with water and don't let them out until they figure out a way to work together. if they can't find common ground, water fills the room, they all die and we have elections and try again.

why the fuck were they getting paid when the government was shut down? and why the fuck do we extremely wealthy shit bags in office? in order to achieve better representation of the public, the representatives need to reflect the public. in 2011 the average net worth of a house rep was almost $7 million, the average senator was worth about $11 million. the average american age 35-44 is worth about $51K. we need to have a cap on net worth of out representatives. we do not need to pay those assholes $175K a year either.

obamacare and right-wing left-wing politics are all just a distraction. they are all working towards their own personal goals and making us pay for it. if the president and congress can force our troops into life threatening situations, then it's only fair that they should face similar consequences. congress still would have it better than out troops, because their life would be guaranteed so long as they do their job. that's a luxury not given to our troops (and they make about 150 times less than your average house rep). there is no doubt in my mind that if their life was on the line, they would figure out a way to work together.
