Basically I love the stuff. It transforms a relatively unappetising salad side into an awesome meal, and I tend to be quite generous with it. My questions are: a) how unhealthy is this, b) how is it compromising my goals (I'm on a newbie cut atm, eating just under maintenance calories), and c) are there any (similar tasting) healthier substitutes?

In case it's useful, nutritional information for this salad cream, per 15g serving:

P/C/F = 0.1/3.0/3.6 (2.6g sugars)
0.3 salt

Ingredients: Water, sunflower oil, sugar, spirit vinegar, modified maize starch, salt, mustard flour, flavouring (contains egg), stabilisers: Guar gum, Xanthum gum, colour: riboflavin.

Thanks for reading :D

I'm no expert but I would personally go with a little extra virgin olive oil and some vinger if that's your deal. I don't trust those salid dressings or their ingredients.

Yeah I agree. This is a really poor choice for dressing. Stick with olive oil and lime juice or vinegar.

Salad cream sounded a little kinky until i realized i was in the D&N section and it was a diet question lol.

*Obligatory advice to not get in trouble*
I agree with Jodi and ABC's, your best bet is to make your own salad cream w/olive oil and vinegar.
