Here's a tip for drinking in public in Waikiki. Go to the pool bar at the Ohana Waikiki Village, ask for a "liter" Maitai with a lid and a straw. You get this innocent looking white styrofoam 1 liter bucket of sweet indulgence sure to have your head spinning after 4 sips. The beauty of it all is that you can go anywhere with it and everyone will think it's a soda. I used to stroll the beach checking out the "sights", then I would go shopping for some clothes which always seems better with a good buzz, then when my face would get numb I would head to my favorite italian restaurant and get some grinds. Afterwards head back to the beach and sprawl out on the sand and watch some more "sights". By now your Maitai should be gone, open the cup and extract the pineapple ring, eat this it is saturated with liquor. Now you will need a nap a) go back to your room, shower, lay out on the balcony or b) jump in the pool to wash off the sand then crash poolside. By the time you regain conciousness it will be happy hour and you can rebuild that hard earned buzz you had that afternoon I recommend starting your night with my favorite shot called "Surfers on Acid" which is Jagermeister, Rum and pineapple juice.

That sounds pretty damn good. For me I usually just pour a couple of coolers in my water bottle (not see throu) or I drink about half of 1litre pepsi and fill the rest with rye
either way is good 
I live in Houston and golly gee it's nice here...never snows, no earthquakes, and friendly people. I just can't STAND THE SLOW DRIVERS GRRRRRRR.....oh this is supposed to be positive.....sorry
