Well I haven't posted in about a year, but over that time I have still been lifting. I have 3 years of lifting under my belt, but my arms are shaking again while benching. Am I going up in weight to fast for my stabalizers to catch up or what?

Thx

Just be thankful you aren't injured. I see plenty of guys shaking when they are on the bench. I think it happens periodically. I know it has to me.

What does it mean when your arms are shakey??

It means when he does the exercise and lifts the weight his arms are shaking. Not violently shaking, but noticeably.

:) I understand that...what I mean is why would they shake? Too much weight, to little time between workouts, tired...you know......why? :p

I'm not sure of the factors. I think it's just certain times your body will react that way. Your nervous system may be shocked? Someone might have a better answer.

That sounds reasonable. Thanx.

CNS (central nervous system) overtaxation could be a cause.

My arms have always shaked for as long as I can remember.. my legs will even twitch sometimes too.

A set will still feel great even if I shake all the way through it (you can even hear the plates rattle sometimes).. I wouldn't worry about it man.

Thanks , I guess i'll take some time off and if that doesn't help I'll know that I am just a shaker.

The problem could be week stabilizer muscles as well.

Was it a one time deal or did you just switch something in your workout?

Twitching so far as I know is most often blamed on not enough water consumption, maybe electrolyte balance as well, I dunno.
