I am about to try 5 day split, because I feel like I can focus MUCH more when doing less exercises in a workout session. What do you think about this:

Monday: Chest

Flat Bench: 4 sets for 6-8 reps.
Incline Dumbbell: 4 sets for 6-8 reps.
2 sets of cable crossovers for 10 reps.
2 sets of pec dec for 10 reps

Tuesday: Legs

Squat: 6 sets for 10-15 reps
Extensions: 3 sets for 6-8 reps
Hamstring Curls: 3 sets for 10-12 reps

Wednesday: Arms

Overhead Tricep Extensions: 4 sets for 6-8 reps
Rope Pulls: 4 sets for 6-8 reps
Alternating Dumbbell Curls: 4 sets for 8-10 reps
Preacher Curls: 4 sets for 8-10 reps

Thursday: Back & Shoulders

Deadlifts: 4 sets for 6-8 reps
Lat Pulldowns: 4 sets for 6-8 reps
Side Laterals: 4 sets for 8-10 reps
Seated Military Press: 4 sets 4-8 reps

Friday: Abdominals & Calves

Standing calf raises: 3 sets ??? 15 reps
Donkey calf raises: 3 sets ??? 15 reps
Hanging leg raises: 4 sets ??? 15-20 reps
Rope crunches: 4 sets ??? 15-20 reps

Short, intense workouts. Under 30-40 min including warmups. Maybe it is better approach than packing a lot of exercises into 1 day and losing focus?

ive always kept my w/outs short and very intense, sometimes i would switch it up and do some volume work and that would take more time, but it also takes alot out of you, i only do that when im shaping it all up, ive always been a hard gainer so i plan all my w/outs, to get the most out of them.

me, i would break that up a bit, i never w/out 5 days straight, i get rest inbetween, and i would not do arms the day b4 back and shoulders,, for me thats a no,no.
your pre-exhausting your arms and the next day you gotta pull and press, i always do major muscles first then all the supporting muscles.

you can take wednsday off then do back & shoulders, then arms after, i always hit my tris after bench, heavy benching then rep the tris, same with bi's, heavy back, rep the bis, i get great results, alot of people say i got nice arms, and ask what i do, i dont even have a arm day, look at the guys in the gym doing arms all the time, it seems they get no-where, and thats because they over work it. those are small muscles, and they get hit with everything, no what im saying??

hey, everyone is different my friend, keep seeing what works for you, i keep journals when im not on the sauce, kabeesh, then you can look at your results.
try chest/tri's day one, back bi's day two, rest on three, legs on four, shoulders/ little arms on five then rest on day six, you actually grow on them rest days, you tear down in the gym, you heal with food and sleep, then after six weeks, i change it up and arms will be either with chest, or like i showed you, or on their own day but not twice, thats to give them a rest, because your not doing alot of sets, your just pumping them suckers up.

like i said you take something from evryone and see what works for you, im sure guys could rip my routine to shreds, but it works for me !!, i use to box, at 122lbs, 132, 148, 152, so ive always been a railing with nothing for genetics, yea like a frank zane, but there aint many zanes around nomore, haha and he was a pro during steroids hey day, he would of been a different man without the sauce, believe that.
but im 187 now and very lean so i look bigger than i weigh, so i came a long way, and didnt play with the sauce till i was in my late 30's so alot was trial and error for me, but i learned you cant do what the guys in the mags do, or really what people tell ya ta do, instead listen to their experiance and try things out and see how they go, you gotta listen to you ok.
ten other guys can come next and tell you ten other things, take what makes sense out of it all and put it into play,
good luck my friend, i hope it works out for you, make sure you update this thread in 6 weeks ok.
