Should .50 Caliber rifles be banned?

The newest idea in gun control is to ban .50 caliber rifles. The theory is that these rifles could possibly bring down an low-flying aircraft, assuming you could hit it.

These rifles cost approximately $7,000; making them impractical to any common criminal. They are used exclusively for competitive shooting. There is no evidence that one has ever been used in a crime (and believe me, the bullet is so big that if one had been used there would be evidence).

If "gang bangers" could vote, they would vote democrat. This is a statistical fact. This is the ulterior motive behind democrats lobbying to allow felon voting, though notably they aren't lobbying to restore other civil liberties such as gun ownership. Felons vote democrate because they are disproportianely poor, and democrats support more 'progressive' tax schemes. Also, any law restricting law-abiding citizen's access to guns makes a criminal's job easier, by disarming their prey. Criminals prey on the weak, those incapable of self defense. What a surprise
