Hey guys first I want to thank you for the motivation you guys ave given me he past month or so as I'm down 13lbs and have lost two inchs on my waste and starting to see some def. in my arms. Question is when I do cardio I don't sweat very much. Now I'm doing it outside with two sweat shirts on and jogging pants air temp is usualy 65-70. I sweat after I get done and get in the house but the question is am should I be doing cardio indoors till the temps warm up or am I ok? My starting weight was 265lbs and I was 252lbs yesterday so I am aking progress. My goal is to get back down to around 200-215lbs with more muscle mass. TIA

what is your heart rate getting up to?

I have no great way of telling but when I get done I usualy find my pulse and time it most times its between 110-120. Is there a better way to tell?:hmmm:

OOPS!! I meant to say I weigh 252lbs now and was at 265lbs before

take it while you are running. Or get a cheap heart rate monitor.

Alright, where would I find one of those Wal-Mart, GNC?:hmmm: Also where should my heart rate be? TIA

Sweating is just to cool you down. Your heart rate is key to how you are doing in cardio.

you can get one at a variety of sporting good stores. maybe wall-mart

as far as where your heart rate should be at is different for everyone. you need to figure out your target heart range using you resting heart rate and go from there. also, where you should be at would be differnet if you were doing sprints or a moderate intensity run.

I'm 37 years old and I try to keep my target heart rate around 165-170 BPM during cardio.

After 60 minutes at that rate I look like I've been playing in the sprinkler!

Wait ill it warms up? Please man. I run in the dead of winter in central Illinois as long as it doesnt dip below around 30. 65-70 is tropical.

njc,

By no means did I mean thats cold hell its FL man it doesn't get cold. I just didn't know if I should start running indoors. My resting heart rate is about 47bpm. The personal trainer asked if I was dead:hmmm: That was about six months ago though and I had just started a new biz and it was ard to find time to get to the gym. I now go three to four times a week but for some reason I like running out doors better than on a treadmill so thats what I was asking. Thanks for your help guys:thumb:
