I agree 110%, we need to decriminalize steroids. It is absurd, and just ignorant to think that anabolic and androgenic compounds are a threat to ones health. Yes, of course anything can be abused, hell McDonalds is used and abused in this country non stop. Does that mean Ronald needs to be in county? No. Unfortunately the United States is hands down one of the most competitive, if not the most competitive country in the world. For Christ sake we, had a Supreme Court panel on steroids in baseball? Does that make any sense? We wasted the tax payers hard earned money on a panel, to verbally rip baseball players for using steroids. Did they receive a fine? Jail time? Neither. Until this country understands that a ?natural? human being can not hit a home run out of a stadium.(literally Barry Bonds smashing them into San Francisco Bay) We would be a lot better off, but sadly we?re not the brightest country on the planet either. So until 3/4s of this country understands that, all sports since I believe (and correct me if I?m wrong) but since the 1938 Olympic Games when the East Germans were using testosterone. From that day forward, sports would forever have performance enhancing drugs, and until these sad individuals can wrap their heads around this fact. We will continue, the criminalization of the use, the possession, and distribution of all anabolic/androgenic compounds. It?s just the sad, sad truth of this ignorant nation. Just my two cents, also thank you Dr. O?Connor. This was my first time ever coming across your content, and love what you do. Wish more doctors had your understanding.
