A few years ago I was doing declines to failure (no spotter) with some moderate weight (75 lb dumbells). Once I hit failure I went to let the weight down (from the lying position) and since my arm could no longer hold the weight, I tried to stop it from hitting the floor hard - then POP!
right in my shoulder.
I laid off for a week or two (it never swelled) but once I started back, I noticed that I had lost some control at certain arm ranges (and the peck muscle also weak). Now, I notice some big time popping when doing bench, lateral raises and most shoulder exercises (mostly popping without pain).
Any advice on if I should have this checked out?
I don't want to have surgery in fear of not ever being able to push heavy weight.
Thanks
