Anyone have any other recipes or anything that I might make for dinners? I'm so sick of the baked and grilled chicken and fish! I think my hubby's gettin' sick of it too!

I try all sorts of recipes, but there are only so many things you can do to chicken and fish.

Thanks!

Why not get a good, lean, cut of beef?

yeah, I do that sometimes too. It's not a good idea for me to eat too much beef because of my cholesterol though.

If chicken and fish have become repetitive, it may be because of the limited ways that you cook them. Do you actually grill them on a BBQ? Grilled chicken is leagues better than anything you can do (in a healthy way) in the kitchen, IMHO.

You could also try improving your cooking technique. I'm sure there are some great techniques that involve new and interesting spices and sauces that you could learn (while still eating healthy).

The Canadian Food Network ran a series titled Cook Like a Chef which helped to broaden my cooking knowledge and may help you too.

Exactly what I do when the grilled chicken is getting so old I want to cry. I'll switch it up to lean, ground red meat, mold them into patties and throw them on the foreman. Nothing added at all and they still taste amazing.

I will also get the huge packaged pork rolls. I'll slice them into about inch thick patties and throw them on the grill with a little seasoning. They come out tasting great too and have very close macros to chicken breast. Perfect way to jump out of the ordinary grilled chicken routine.

Firstly - food has only a minimal impact on blood cholesterol (about 90% of it is related to other things). So the odd peice of red meat is not going to do you any harm (similarly neither will eggs or shell fish)...

But what about turkey?... You could make an omelette or White-fish patties with egg whites and white fish... you could do crab cakes? ... What about a tempeh stir-fry.... Or a tuna lasange? Or ricotta/cottage cheese lasange? You could do bison/buffalo? Or ostrich? Then there are the really wierd things like eel... You could try lean pork steaks with mashed cauliflower and steamed vegetables... Or what about fish and 'pumpkin chips' (instead of potato)....

You could make 'sushi' with barley, oats, or brown rice...

There are LOTS of interesting things you could eat...
