Significance of Fish Oil

Can someone please explain the significance of fish oil and how often and how much is usulaly consumed for a serious lifter.
 
It is good for the heart and good for joints that can be strained from heavy lifting i usually take 4 caps in a.m. and 4 caps in the p.m.:thumb:

x2 some people go up to 1g. of EPA a day. So that's roughly 8-9 caps. It's good for skin, heart, joints, etc. Definitely pick some up if you aren't taking any already. :)
 
I actually take 20 caps on a normal day - it's just an easy way to get some n3 fats without needing to eat fish constantly. You can have too much n6 fats, but it's very hard if not impossible to have too much n3 fat.

Benefits include joint lubrication, higher HDL and lower LDL cholesterols, skin health, etc. The list just keeps going.
