I was wondering if it is beneficial or ineffective to do squats and deadlifts on the same day, same thing for military press and arnold press.

as for the split jerk, I was wondering around aimlessly the previous few months (as stated in my earlier post) and I tried some powerlifting stuff, I then learned strength training is different thatn hypertrophy (gains in size?) which is my goal for now until I reach 190ish at least....anyway the split jerk was an excercise I really enjoyed doing and along with my military press is this a waste of time right now and should I replace it with arnold press or something else? I dont want to stop doing them but if something else will be far better for gaining size right now Im willing to wait on that....

Personally I think deads and squats on the same day isnt a good idea. If your doing them hard enough, your not going to have enough energy/strength to do the other one effectively and your not going to reach your potential on it. Unless of course you go heavy with one and light with the other and then alternate. I always find it better to do them on seperate days though, in my opinion they are the two most demanding excersizes you can do.

thats pretty much my feeling, that is my routine if I were to do that so Im not currently doing it I do lighter leg press after squat, everything else there is accurate tho.

started that this week and its goin well but only 2 days

I don't think there is anything wrong with doing a little bit of explosive training if your goal is hypertrophy. It might not directly help your goals, but if it helps you put more weight up in the military press, for example, then that could ultimately lead to more growth.

That program seems like it's kind of all over the place. What's the organization supposed to be?

yeah the more I look at it the more I start thinking the same thing...
