sit-ups? are they good to add to the workout, if so how many reps should i do?

They're good for muscular endurence, not for getting a six pack.

Low % of bodyfat is the only way you can have a six pack. You need to have a good diet. To make your abs bigger do weighted ab exercises and compound movements.

thanks im trying to do this diet which is limiting alot of carbs that i eat. i eat chicken and other meats and salad and drinking alot of water. you have any other ideas?

sit ups??..no
crunches..:thumb:

Situps are great. Use dumbbells or plates for added resistance.

Given that ab visibility is a function of bodyfat %, what is better for working the abs, decline situps or crunches, and why?

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
I always go with the more compound movement, but hey whatever floats your boat.

And why do you proclaim this?
You could compare this to tricep pushdowns.. if you go all the way up with your elbows on pushdowns(to chest) then you wont get max. pressure on tri's like you would going halfway up... IMO situps release resistance as you are completing them..unlike crunches

Try jackknife sit ups with added weight.

Are you talking about regular situps or decline situps?
