I am a 41 yr old female and having a hard time boosting my metabolism. I bought "slim quick" pills. Has anyone tried then and what kind of results did you have.

In my experience, any product that claims will help you lose more than 2lb a week isn't worth spending money on.

Many "slim quick" products work on the basis that you'll be so pleased you've lost some weight, you'll forget the outlandish initial promise.

You said you are having a hard time boosting your metabolism... what have you tried to boost it (other than the pills)?

What is your diet like? How many times a day are you eating?

ok Robert,

I edited the message to not include that link.

Hey slim - I'm a 48 yo female who was having the same problem. I wanted to build quality muscle and lose the fat deposits. I thought I was doing things ok, but I finally sought the help of a trainer and found out I was eating too little! I am eating all non-processed, clean foods now - lifting 4 x per week and cardio 3x per week (not hard cardio either) - and I am seeing great results!!!

I'm not into the the pills, but I bet if you fine-tuned your diet (post it please) and cardio, you'd be on track!:D

I eat three times a day. I know not enough, but it seems when I eat more times a day I seem to gain weight. I run or do the elliptical 3-4 times a week and do weights about 2 times. I just get aggravated, cause im at a standstill.

Why don't you post your diet - there are alot of people here that can give you advise on it - that's probably what needs adjusting
