My roots are message boards, I started this one in 2000. The past several years everything has switched to social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

My question is which do you prefer and why?

social media for close friends and family (fb)- instagram for total fucking off and pointless activity
forums for interwebs fist fights

Real info - forums
Internet know it all/politicians - fb
Useless shit - ig/snap

Omg is ig useless shit. Lol
Its utter mindless to me. I made an account after being harassed by a friend to make one and I have no idea what to do with it.

I hear that. I've got friends that have actually made a career off of it. My SO makes a lot of her business off of it too.. to me, just a way to share funny shit and see what everyone is up to lol

Yeah..I see a ton about IG branding. I wanted to stalk car people on it.

It was crazy how many hotel designers liked some table design pics I took ...I was bored and decided to dress up our table like crazy for thanksgiving ..like when I worked in fine dining and apparently I was well trained because it was well received by a bunch of businesses

IG is for the narcissist who can't get enough of themselves with selfies and endless ass shots with filters then call themselves "fitness models" lol. But I have an account and do the same thing.

I like forums. They are simpler. They have a better community-feel because there are less overall members; they are niche.

I used to have Facebook, and was on it quite a bit. I permanently deleted my account and haven't looked back since. I don't use any social media besides LinkedIn, and I barely use that.

Forums FTW.
