The average annual income of a white household is about 365,000 rand ($42,000; ?26,000), followed by Indians at 251,000 rand, people of mixed race at 251,500 rand and blacks at 60,600 rand, it showed.

I like how they're blaming the financial disparity on racism. Blacks run the place, but it's whites that are keeping them down. Such utter bullshit.

The quote even says that Indians are making more. It's pretty clear that those that are making more are those that are willing, and able, to do more.

The only way that the financial disparity is going to go away in South Africa is if you get rid of all non-blacks. That way they can be equally poor and stupid.

The UNDP report states: "Steep wealth inequality ... contributes to persistent and rising income poverty and inequality." This is in a context where the ruling class has "enormous corporate power and a direct influence over the economic lives of the majority of South Africans." The government's pro-business policies have undoubtedly added weight to already powerful corporate influences.

Thus while earnings have continued to increase for the topmost layers of the population, they have continued to decline for the bottom layers--creating a massive gulf between rich and poor. The composition of the wealthiest class has changed somewhat, now including a small layer of rich blacks. The poorest layer of the population is predominantly black, although an increasing number of white households are rapidly sinking into poverty.

I'm sure they'll mention that blacks have, historically, been a lesser of two groups. Even before the European colonists showed up.

truth..and its getting worse..the sole reason that SA still holding on is that not all the whites have left yet..look at Zimbabwe..once its was one of the richest countries in Africa..till good ole Mugabe came..they've forced all the white farmers out and now its the poorest country in the world with 96% of unemployment..
