I too was hoping to see something about SM which Im hoping to go see today, "yes Im a 47yo Spidey freak". I wish I still had all the comics I had as a kid. For the record I believe that 99% of the problems we face in this modern society is due to a fundemental disrespect for life. The murder of helpless babies in the womb is one of the pillars of this social disease called "Liberalism". As is the callous attitudes toward crime victims, and the elevation of the rights of career criminals...ect The whole house of horrors. The anti-death penalty movement is an incarnation of this fundemental disrespect for life in modern,liberal, America. Since the victims life is meaningless, why should the "poor-poor" offender be made to pay with their own life?

In the final analysis, with the Liberals, its "all about me-me-me" anyway.

Ok, so i saw this movie last night... it was garbage. That said, i didnt think spiderman 1 was all that great either... but it looked like "Gone with the wind" compared to this pile of crap. The plot line was so predictable it made you want to try and slit your wrist with your ticket stub. Combine that with every character giving these bizarre "speeches" as their dialog ever 5 minutes, which were so unrealistic it bordered on delusional, and it wasnt exactly a great cinematic experience. The special effects good. But there were quite a few ocassions that make you think "wtf, why didnt they just do xxx"? i.e., the director needed more random action (spidey dancing through the rooftops, doc oc throwing cars around, etc)... so he took liberties with rational thought.

For example, at one point doc oc needs some rare metal to continue his experiment. The only guy that has it is the OzCorp kid (who hates spiderman, if you remember from the 1st movie). So doc oc rampages into his house, holds the kid by his ankle out over the edge of a top of a building, and demands the metal. The kid says "alright alright, just put me down!"... yet as soon as he's down, he says "ok, ill give it to you if you bring me spiderman." Doc oc agrees, and the movie continues. Now wait one fucking minute - doc oc just held this kid out over the edge of a building to get what he wanted, and now all of a sudden he grudginly agrees to go on this scavenger hunt for this ozcorp kid? Why not just say "how about no, give me the metal or i drop you off the building"?? It's stuff like that that pisses me off.

But anyway, the worst part is definitely all the characters in the movie giving these long melodramatic speeches every 5 minutes. When you see it, you'll see what i mean. Picture your aunt walking up to you and randomly giving you an emotional discourse in how to "dig deep" to "find yourself" and then walking away. AEUGH!

But hey, generally movies i hate everyone else loves (i.e. kill bill 1).

I agree 100%. I really liked the 1st one, but this was shit. My gf tried to repeatedly commit suicide by banging her head as hard as she could against my shoulder every time one of these horribly cringing moments came on (which was like every 5 minutes). My friend and I sat there craking jokes at the asinine script all throughout. Usually people will tell us to shut up, but on this one they just laughed (and cringed) along. All in all, don't waste your time or money on it, and all those f'n critics that praised this overhyped crap can get in a nice long line to KISS MY ASS!

I just saw it. I thought Spidey #1 was twice as good. Im just glad I went to a matinee, if I had paid $9 to see this movie I would have felt like I got robbed...............take care..............Rich

You know, we could debate this for a few 100 posts each but in the end neither of us would change our opinion on it If anything we might end up bitter at eachother for being utterly stupid

Couple notes though..
This thread went from spiderman to farenhiet 911 to how can we stop,"stupid people" from voting to abortion, to death penalty of criminals all due to the same thing.. Thats what men do. Im serious.. Ive watched women talk about the same damn thing for hours.. at work, with all guys though; we start off talking about one thing, and 3 minutes later we've switched subject 5 times.

And Im not really PRO abortion(Though granted I am pro choice), I said that in part to stir up some shit I could definitely see some benefits in requiring people to register to have children. Crime in America is dominated by irresponsible parenting, and the effect that being,"The melting pot" often brings in.

Oh, and about liberals being me-me-me.. LOL. That may win some kind of award. Conservatives are known for being the rich, selfish people who are for lower taxes and every man for themselves. Liberals are the ones who want to raise taxes and make the rich pay for the lazy/foolish man's welfare and health insurance.
I would say a better wording would be..
