i know sugar should not be in the diet, but i would like to know anyway how much sugar it would take to cause a fast insulin spike, b/c some foods has like 1 gram of sugar but also have fat and protein so i really don't know whether that one gram would make a huge difference or not since the fat and protein would help things going up gradually. thanks

It depends how sensitive you are to sugar, and what and how recently you've eaten before that, and whether you've exercised.

agreed. but i'd say at this point don't worry about 1 g of sugar. sometimes you can find you're worrying so much about all of the details it's hard to actually get started. ;)
